Every day, I spend some time reading and reflecting on Bible scriptures…it’s the most peaceful, positive way to start and end my day. Now and then I’d like to share some things that resonate…
A brief quotation from Sarah Young’s Jesus Calling today: …”As you go through this day, look for tiny treasures strategically placed along the way. I lovingly go before you and plant little treasures to brighten your day. Look carefully for them, and pluck them one by one. When you reach the end of the day, you will have gathered a lovely bouquet. Offer it up to me with a grateful heart….” Such a good reminder for me be aware of the little treasures/blessings I encounter everyday and to not take them for granted…to be grateful for them and especially to acknowledge the source of them.
The scripture reading suggestions for today were:
Romans 8:38-39 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Psalm 4:7-8 Fill my heart with joy when their grain and new wine abound. In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.
I’m recalling these words from Philippians 4:6: Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
Have a beautiful and bountifully blessed Thanksgiving!
